Hi,

This error means dnewsweb is unable to connect to dnews on localhost
(127.0.0.1). There are several causes, the most obvious of which is you are
not running dnews on the same computer as dnewsweb - if that is the case,
change the hostname in dnewsweb.ini from 127.0.0.1 to the address of the
news server.

Another possibility is that dnews.conf has 'bind_in' set, indicating that
dnews should not bind to 127.0.0.1, and therefore dnews isn't listening on
that address. Either alter the bind_in setting to allow this connection, or
use another IP address in dnewsweb.ini for the server (usually the LAN IP
address).

> Could not open connection to your news server (127.0.0.1). It may be down
at the moment, in which case you could try again later. Also check you have
given the correct name in dnewsweb.ini
