Hi! Here are two more reasons for Devuan:
Bug 1213778 - drops into emergency mode without any error message if it cannot find a filesystem in /etc/fstab https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1213778 Bug 1213781 - does not start ssh service if a filesystem in /etc/fstab cannot be mounted https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1213781 This is no joke. One can argue whether to fail boot in case a filesystem is missing, but seriously, if / is available, why fail it? But the more important thing: *no* error message, instead you have to search journalctl -xb for it. And not being able to start ssh service in that case? I just thought "this is a joke". But it doesn´t seem to be. (And yes, I started /usr/bin/sshd manually and that worked, but still.) I see no reason to have ssh service start or booting fail in that case, and I see no reason whatsoever to Ciao, -- Martin 'Helios' Steigerwald - http://www.Lichtvoll.de GPG: 03B0 0D6C 0040 0710 4AFA B82F 991B EAAC A599 84C7 _______________________________________________ Dng mailing list [email protected] https://mailinglists.dyne.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dng
