And why, if you are a CPE, should you believe what you get via DHCP either? Lord knows I have seen rogue DHCP announcements on cable modems. Moreover, even supposing that's solved, how is the device supposed to know when it is attached to CoffeeShopFreeAP and when it's attached to SuperGoodWellMaintainedISPNet?
