RFC 6895 says:
RRTYPE zero is used as a special indicator for the
SIG(0) RR [RFC2931] [RFC4034] and in other
circumstances and must never be allocated for
ordinary use.
I suppose we can have a meta-discussion about whether this is an ordinary use,
but I would prefer not to.
