If you want to understand the various legal issues involved in the
FEC's proposed rulemaking on the Internet, don't miss this event. And

The Institute for Politics, Democracy & the Internet (IPDI) and
the Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT) will host a legal
briefing on the issues at stake in the Federal Election Commission's
Proposed Rulemaking on Internet Communications on Wednesday, May 11,
2005.

Three nationally recognized experts in campaign finance law will
explain how the FEC's proposed Internet rules will affect bloggers,
political activists, parties, political committees, corporations and
unions, with particular emphasis on the blogging community:

*  Ken Gross, partner, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom,
and CNN analyst on election law.
*  Robert F. Bauer, partner, Perkins Coie, and Counsel to the
Democratic Senatorial and Congressional Campaign Committees
*  Don Simon, partner, Sonosky, Chambers, Sachse, Endreson &
Perry LLP, and Counsel to Democracy 21

Carol Darr, director of IPDI, and John Morris, counsel to CDT, will
moderate.

Will the Revolution be Regulated will feature live blog reporting and
