Hi Dave, speaking for http://www.neodoc.biz we use V5 for all our new projects since many monthes now, and are now migrating old v4 to v5, since v5 is now (almost?) official :-)
Schemas offer greater flexibility (though SGML entities might miss to some) and tools support is great. Finally DTD version of DB won't be further maintained I guess. Camille.
