I suspect the problem is caused by you using namespace-aware stylesheets
but a slides version that doesn't use namespaces yet.
Since there isn't yet a version of the slides grammar that's based on DB
5 (using namespaces), you should probably switch to using the
docbook-xsl-1.76.1 stylesheets, without namespaces.
