Hi!

I did some testing with NS 4 this weekend and I think I found a CSS-only
design that's sort of good-looking /and/ working in NS4 (WinME), IE 5.5
(WinME), Mozilla (Linux) and Opera (Linux).

Please check with other browser/OS:

Great!

tested with konqueror/linux looks good. (though still have a horizontal scroll bar, but that seems to be a bug in konqueror, so it doesn't matter)

- NS 4-79, the <pre> blocks don't do <pre>! all the text is folded into a continuous line, e.g.:
http://domm.zsi.at/modperl-site-domm/docs/2.0/user/config/config.html

- this is a general comment: we need wider margins (padding?) in the content box, since the text gets too close to the border lines.

- changed font-size to 11px in the NavBar. I did this because with IE5.5
the font was so big that "Documentation" didn't fit into the NavBar and thus
caused some ugly resizing
Some unresolved (unresolvable) issues:
* Font sizes: IE renders fonts bigger. Period. The only thing you can do
about it is specifiy the fonts absolute values, which is not userfriendly.

:( so if you use 'small' it uses huge fonts?
