looks like I still didn't give up :) doing some more work on Jonathan's take, see the attachment.
This logo solves the problem of the underscore, it's not there and it's is there in the same time. What do you think?
I think the line is a little too thick... and the problem now is that the line somewhat removes the simplicity of the logo, and makes it too "heavy".
