Hello Ikuko,

I understand your answer, but maybe it's somewhat missing the point of
the Community involvement: it has to be built, and maintained, permanently.

The Community can't be a resource that's always available at the ready,
at the disposal of Sun to fit their needs. As a Community leader, I
think that Sun and the Community have to maintain a permanent link,
however tenuous.

I know it's hard to realize how difficult it can be to find volunteers
to do such things, and then organize and dispatch work.

I was expecting that for OpenSolaris 2008.11, a better schedule would be
offered to us. Now, it seems that Community involvement has simply been
dismissed altogether.
In such conditions, I'm unsure what kind of help we'll be able to
provide for the fr translations in the future, if Sun ever request any.

Also, I'm starting to wonder what this list is about, except for Sun
people to discuss among themselves, albeit publicly. Even some URLs in
messages are for Sun internal resources now.
It's a good thing, and there is some bug reporting, too. But where does
the Community involvment for I18N stand now? What is planned to improve it?
