Hi Rainer, Thanks for your time and effort to generate the PDFs, much appreciated! The size increase is probably because figures are included in the updated files. (A bug was failing to copy the graphics into the figures directory in previous months, so the fix increased the size pretty significantly.) Some choices I can think of: We can split the tarball, try to get exception from the website team for the 15Mb limit, post these to the download center instead of the website, or set up a project with a repository to house these--gosh maybe we could enliven the 'printable many page manuals project' with the work you've done? Let me know what you think, others chime in too if you have ideas.
Also, which files failed to generate? A file naming convention (.book --> .xml) changed with this update, so maybe that failed your script? We had a number of variables change since the last update (figures, file naming, and upload process) so I apologize for not detailing these in my announcement--I was going a bit bonkers trying to figure it all out last week myself :) Thanks again for testing and let me know what I can do to help out with the file upload max limit issue. Then, we can work through the failures.
