Erm... does that mean the installation of the DocBook stylesheets depend
on the Gnome desktop (may not be a wise idea since many universities
here don't install any of the Gnome packages) ?

Umpf... why are the docbook stylesheets in a "sgml/" subdir ? DocBook
stylesheets come in DSSL and XSL flavours for SGML and XML...
... is it possible to move the whole "docbook/"-subdir to
/usr/share/docbook/, please ?
