Hi Tom, On docs.sun.com the sharetab(4) page currently resides at
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2251/6n4i7tdcf?a=view for the Solaris Express release. But that could change the next time this reference manual is published. For a more stable link, you could link to the Solaris9 sharetab(4) page, if the content you're referring hasn't changed. From your message, I suspect this is not a good approach. > if I do a blog entry and want to point readers to sharetab(1M), is > there a link to a man page that I could reasonably expect to live for > some time? > When persistent links is implemented (no ETA but it is being worked on), then the URL should be something like http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2251/sharetab-4?a=view forever and always. This is a big issue for our writing community and we'll continue to ask for persistent links from the sun.com web team. I'll publish updates on the status here as I have them. Thanks for this question, it is one I hear a lot, but that hasn't made it to this forum.
