lol, no, there will always be more than one place that docs exist (FAQs, Projects, download center, docs community, wiki...) for various purposes (collaboration, site help, sketchpads, open source) with different permissions for use.
So, having a top-level page on OpenSolaris that describes how to get where you need to go for your purpose would be a step in the right direction (wiki being on of those destinations). If someone agrees, you can second my proposal here or add your thoughts: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=6800&tstart=30 -Michelle >Date: Fri, 05 May 2006 15:07:13 -0500 >From: Eric Lowe <Eric.Lowe at Sun.COM> >Subject: Re: [docs-discuss] Re: Neutral or not? For the higher level pages on the site, it is up to the web site team and I think that adding access links to the Wiki is an excellent RFE. If my RFE for a top-level docs & support page is answered, we could also link to the wiki from it, in theory :) > >Unless, as I think we should do, we put all of the docs on the Wiki in >which case the top level docs link will be to the Wiki. ;) > >- Eric (the other, more evil one, bwahahaha)
