Ohh--yes now I get it, thanks for the clarification. I think this is a really neat idea! It might be a great interim solution until we get something more streamlined. It means that anyone can maintain and update, and that far outweighs an extra navigation click to me, but I'd like to hear what others think too.
As FYI for folks, per the web-site team, we need to propose this (top-level os.o page for Docs) to the CAB as a next-step, so if others like the idea that the page be a link to the wiki, reply with thoughts and we can add them to the proposal that is developing.
