Some of the tech pubs groups writing books that are not part of the Solaris docs collections use FrameMaker to generate HTML and PDF versions of books posted to docs.sun.com. Some groups use a set of FrameMaker templates and a custom FrameMaker to HTML converter while other groups use FrameMaker with a slightly different set of templates and WebWorks Publisher to generate the HTML.
For docs on opensolaris.org, I don't think it is so much a matter of the authoring tool people use, but rather what are the templates, tags, or doc types that make it easy for people to easily write and deliver a reasonably consistent doc to the site. This message posted from opensolaris.org
