Ahoy! So... I'd be delighted to try writing some documentation for OpenSolaris. I think I can contribute on 'How to customize your desktop/laptop/sunray.' I have OS b130 running on my EeePC netbook, on my Core2 Duo desktop, and on a Linux machine under VirtualBox. But I'm not sure exactly what to write about. Are there any specific sorts of customizations that need to be documented? I did remove a lot of packages from the default install and add a lot of others. Is that something to write about? I also disabled some extra services that I didn't need and that were eating up memory.
In short: can people help suggest what exactly needs to be documented RE: 'How to customize your desktop/laptop/sunray.' OR 'How to customize your workspace'? -RKA- On 01/08/2010 12:48 PM, alan mcclellan wrote: > I'd like to encourage folks to take a look at the documentation wish list > page I've started on the documentation community site: > > http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+documentation/Wish+List > > Feel free to add topics you feel should be covered (and add new user/roles to > the wish list table if necessary).
