(Tomcat does that to dev@ - but that seems like too much noise on
the wrong list)

Frankly, I thought it already did, 'cause I get all those messages.
The quantity of ... ahem ... sub-standard content that goes into the
docs is fairly high, and much of it gets fixed very rapidly due to
those mailings. They should absolutely go to docs@
Another thing I'd like to use the Wiki for is a sandbox for the
dreaded Performance and Security docs overhaul?
Sure. That was the primary initial purpose of the httpd wiki - as a
scratch pad for "real" docs.
