Hello, Here is the Spanish translation for docs/manual/howto/ssi.es.xml
In the original English version I found some "bloggy" comments, no big deal, but I I had a bit of an issue translating them: Bloggy comments: 1.
The function can be one of a number of things, and we'll talk some more about most of these in the next installment of this series." Since I can't determine which is the "next installment" I decided to omit this comment in the translation turning it into a bit of a more generic statement. Which I decided to translate like:
Esta función es una de tantas, y hablaremos de algunas de ellas más adelante Which would be like: "This function is one of many and we'll talk about some of them later on (or ahead)." 2.
I expect that I'll have an article some time in the coming months about using SSI with small CGI programs. I decided to ommit this comment completely, as this seems a reference from an outside source, perhaps a blog or similar. If I'm screwing up or misinterpreting, please let me know! ---- There is also the case where a keyword ("config") is being used as a verb in the same sentence , which may yield neat results in english but translation to Spanish does not end well. (verb "configurar" in Spanish, "config" can't be used as verb in Spanish so I can't use it, maybe this play could be used if we were refering to the noum, such as configuration, which in Spanish would be easier to refer to as "config", but not with a verb like the meaning of the original sentences in english for this doc.) 1º
In addition to being able to
config
the time format, you can also
config
two other things.
2º
And you can
config
the format in which file sizes are returned for these I removed the
tags and used the verb directly, since there are enough examples already in the whole document which refer to
config
function, so I really found no need to work around this way of using verb/keyword at the same time in Spanish, besides the results of trying it in Spanish are not optimal. -- *Daniel Ferradal* IT Specialist email dferradal at gmail.com linkedin es.linkedin.com/in/danielferradal
