Philippe Cloutier <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|RESOLVED |VERIFIED --- Comment #5 from Philippe Cloutier <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Rich Bowen from comment #4) > I do not actually agree that this clarifies anything, but, I suppose it > doesn't make it *less clear*, and I'd love it you'd quit reopening tickets > I've resolved, so, sure, patch applied. “URL-path” with a dash is an httpd-specific term; while linking there may indeed not clarify at this time, it should once #70036 is fixed. As for PATH_INFO, it is uncommon and not a core Web standard. If I did not understand it with 2 decades of web development experience, most readers surely don't understand it either. The link is not focused, but it allows to figure out, and is our best explanation at this point to my knowledge. A glossary entry would of course be superior. As for tickets, they don’t need resolution; *issues* do. I am more than irritated by the number of httpd issues I have seen erroneously marked as resolved recently. I was also disappointed to see this ticket being marked as a duplicate; while the patch could be a little confusing, it is far from a complex patch, and its description specifically refers to #70042. With all due respect, either the Summary or the Description alone should have made it extremely clear that this was not a duplicate of #70042. > Thanks. > > r1934229.
