I believe 7.2 will have an option to select visible text only. See here:

We should update the docs.
The current solution of the docs
(https://help.libreoffice.org/7.0/en-US/text/scalc/guide/cellcopy.html?DbPAR=CALC)
doesn't work.
In Calc, if you hide by AutoFilter and select some rows, all rows are
selected, not only the visible ones.

If I hide rows by means of Autofilter, select the visible rows and
copy-paste, _all_ rows are copy-pasted, not only the visible ones.
