First thing I would check is fluid level...pretty much trademark
symptoms
of being low on transmission fluid.

Cheers.

Subject: [dodge_intrepid] Transmission trouble - anybody experience the
same?

I have a '94 Intrepid that I dearly love. It has some issues
though - I am hoping someone has some advice for me. It started out
with the car losing power as I was driving down the road. It would
only go about 10-20 MPH, finally it wouldn't go at all. I took it in
to the dealer and they said it was the co sensor in the tail pipe.
So, we got that replaced and it seemed to do the trick. The other
thing that started was it would not go into reverse on cold days
unless the car had been started and/or driven for quite a while.
Then it progressed into the car wouldn't go unless I let it warm up
for at least 20 minutes. Then all would be good. THEN... it would
not do all of those things and it wouldn't shift out of low gear
once you were driving it. The car sat for a year (we bought a
different vehicle) but I can't bear to part with it and would still
be driving it if it didn't have these issues. Anyone have any ideas??
Thanks, Alison
