My 98 ES also flickers in the dash lights once in awhile. My volume will jump from time to time as well. The lights are from dust collected in the dome light/dash brightness roller knob. The radio...well.. I thought it was a "digital" pot and had no 'connections' per se, but I can't think of anything else.
I am at 138K and still rolling. A/C has been getting weak again, only been a year since it was recharged. No doubt a small leak, though it passes a leak test. Tranny is downshifting just a little rough, but that motor still has get up and go. Now that I am in Florida, this car may actually last a few more years!
