  Unfortunately, most insurance companies use the "book" value, to
determine their liability to their customers. The book really doesn't
take into consideration the "over and above" maintenance you kept on your
car. It is just a piece of metal and glass to them. It will be auctioned
off for rebuild or parts, and someone will get a pile of great reusable
parts, thanks to you! You can find the information you need at
www.nada.com  you get up to 10 free searches, for book values. (even more
if you clear your cookies) It has new and used prices available.  You can
also try www.kbb.com  Kelly blue book, or www.edmunds.com  for other
