A vacuum leak, usually on the underside of the manifold on a 3.5 will most certainly cause a misfire. A typical manifold gasket leak usually affects 1 or maybe 2 runners, not the plenum. Just try spraying some propane in the valley below the intake and watch her smooth out. Not an unusual problem. DV
