The problem was just a bit of smell and I had looked to see how much
was leaking and it wasn't much. However, the other day I got around
to having a go at the valve cover bolts. To my surprise on the side
that is leaking one bolt was snug and the other three are loose
enough to turn with one's fingers. Two of them are easily
accessible so I tightened them down. Don't have the torque spec so
I didn't do it tight at all. There is one bolt that has a wire
support connected to it and I can't seem to get at it and pull the
support off to tighten it down. This is obviously why there is some
leaking going on. I will have another attempt at it or take it in
to the dealer to have him do it. I asked and the shop wants about
$400 bucks to do the job of replacing the gaskets. I am sure that
it is a time consuming but straight forward job. I have too many
projects on the go and don't have time to do it. I am not driving
it much these days so don't want to spend the money.
