Judy,
Sorry to hear you picked an Altima over another 'trep.

Really how you choose to sell it depends on how quickly you need/want to get
rid of it.

If time is not of the essence....I'd offer the it for sale here first, with
a firm price and your location. If you grab a freebie website and post some
pictures up, it will help.

A good alternative would be to list it on your local craigslist.com site.
Again, a firm price, location, pictures all will help.

If you're in more of a hurry... when I have a used car to sell I've just
shopped it around the used car lots in town. You quickly get a sense for
what its wholesale value is worth. They'll cut you a check on the spot,
usually. But you might find out that $1000 is the going wholesale rate.

I've never bought a vehicle on Ebay. It's not the cheapest way to go for
the seller, and I'm not sure you'd really do all that much better than you
could with a newspaper ad on a run-of-the-mill used car. It's hard to argue
with the visibility this approach has, though, and it will probably go more
quickly than it would with a sign in the window. Just be reasonable with
where you set the reserve.

Good luck!
