John, As previously suggested, replacing the steering gear, will probably
be your best route to go. It could be the fire hazzard, under the right
conditions, so don't take this concern lightly.
 You might tie a rag on the leaking area, and be able to divert the flow
to the frame rail, or the ground, instead of dripping on the exhaust.
Won't stop the leak, but should slow down the smoking.  I love the
Concordes, much more than the Intrepids!  
 Anybody need parts from a '96 Concorde?  My wife totaled ours with a
front end impact. 107K miles on 3.3L. Everything from front tires back in
excellant condition, taking offers on parts. Located in Dallas Texas.
