No worries, enjoy the Intrepid.
Good advise on the synthetic oil, which can also save you a bit on fuel
mileage. Always remember to change the oil on time, no cheating on "going
just a little longer". Always change the oil filter with an oil change.
Most likely your new Intrepid has not had any transmission service in it's
lifetime, and fresh fluid will prevent problems with the lockup clutch, and
much more.
Have the transmission fluid & filter changed by a small, independent shop.
Be sure they put the correct type back in. You might have to ask around
to find a good transmission shop, unless you live in Central Florida.
After that, just be sure to keep all fluid levels & tire pressures correct,
checking at least once a month.
Enjoy that Intrepid!
