I'll always found it odd that the cruise control in my car always struggles when going down a hill. When I start the decline of a hill, the trannsmission downshifts and the car goes from around 2300 RPM (at 65-70 mph) to about 3400 RPM. Then it struggles to recover and eventually shifts back into place. Never understood why it does it...and never bothered to have the problem looked into.
