Oh thats cool! I didn't know that 2-piece bushings were available. I might try that next time. Pressing in the factory ones is a bit of a trip, but not impossible. Just some lube and a 2-jaw gear puller is what I use to press them in. Oh yea, some swearing, too!
That bushing problem is very common. 75% of my LH cars had that issue. I doubt it'll be recalled since its not really a safety concern and will never result in loss of steering control. I can't believe the dealer charged $400 to do this!
