I agree with Nathan. I just replaced bushings on the rack of my wife's '96
Concorde and it handles like a new car. It was very loose before that. I
think someone else has already mentioned tie rod ends too. If those are bad,
you'd be able to tell real easily by letting go of the wheel when you're on a
straight and hitting the accelerator. If it pulls to one side when you hit the
gas, then you've got tie rod ends that need replacing. Keep us posted.

Quick, no, but there is a fix:

I have done it and it really cleaned up the steering. Took me 4.5
hours on the first shot, mostly because I didn't hurry and struggled a
bit getting the bolts back into the steering rack, but it worked. Cost
me all of $16 in parts.
