I was a ford person until about 4 yrs ago when I purchased my 1997 Intrepid with 96,000 miles. I must say I put on almost 100,000 miles on the car since I have had it and have really had no problems with the car. The only thing I had to do was replace the fuel pump and your normal maintence. Well the sad thing is on my way to work the other night I forgot I had popped the hood to check the fluids and driving 60 mph the hood flew up and no longer was shaped to the car but the to the windshield! Believe it or not the windshield didn't even crack! So heart broken with the way the car looked now, the next day I decided I was going to buy a new car......yep didn't even hesitate on another Intrepid......Yes I am the PROUD owner of a 2004 Dodge Intrepid now.....and I still have the 97 - figured I could get a new hood for it and my son who will be turning 16 in a year will have a car to drive if he has MOM's PERMISSION! Just wanted to share my good news cause I am so excited to be driving a newer Intrepid!
