Fair enough -- I choose to take the chance and avoid the cost, as 
finding a junkyard with the part around here isn't very likely and 
chancing an airbag going off in my face isn't worth my DIY experience. 
But certainly if you feel that's a concern for you, get it fixed.   I 
wasn't trying to dissuade that, just saying that for such a small part, 
it's a royal pain in the wallet.
