REPLACE YOU HEATER CONTROL UNIT IN THE DASH....... THAT WILL TAKE CARE OF THE

As a guess, your ES has climate control, the control unit sounds like
it is on the way out. Easier to second guess, when they quit working
altogether! Check ebay for a less expensive replacement.
