Hi Nicole,
I recall something about the airbag clockspring (a
small spring inside the steering wheel) being
defective such that it caused some problems similar to
what you are experiencing.
Also, a couple of times in the past I've had starting
issues and one time it turned out to be the starter
relay the other time the fuel pump relay.
Thus before trying the airbag clockspring, go to the
relay box on the far right of your engine and try
taking out both wiper relays and putting them in place
of the starter relay and fuel pump relay.
If it still won't start then you could try moving the
relays into both/either the spot above the starter
relay (can't recall the name) or the EATX shutdown
relay around the top right.
This is relatively easy to do and costs you nothing to
try. If you do find a problem with a relay you can
get new ones from the dealer for about $20/ea or at a
wrecker for far less.
