You're talking about just dragging it out of a drift with a tow strap?

If it were me, I'd wrap the strap around the engine cradle if from the
front. That pulls the car around anyhow, so it is definitely strong
enough. The thing to be concerned about is damaging the fascia, but what
you're talking about risks that no matter what you do. You might try
running the strap through the fascia, but I'm not sure if you can do that
and avoid the radiator.

>From the rear is a little dicier. If the strap has a hook, I'd try to find
a spot in the frame rail that the bumper attaches to. To be honest, though,
you really should get a proper tow truck out there for a case like that.

As far as using the car to do the towing: I wouldn't, unless you invest in a
trailer hitch. It's capable of towing several thousand pounds if I remember
right, but you need a hitch to do it right and avoid damaging anything.
Without a hitch, you're really asking it to do the job of a full frame
pickup truck , and it ain't a pickup truck.
