To those who read: The shudder under acceleration (no error codes) turned out to be a bad driver side axle (CV). I had both axles replaced (a steep $469) and it runs like a champ. I may have been able to do the job myself for around $200, but a warranty & saved knuckles were worth it this time. Besides that, I still would've owed the shop $50 for the diagnosis. ....just a note is someone is experiencing the same problem. I had to pay to get it identified.
