I have uncovered a few problems with my Dimona that are of concern:

1. The seat belt anchor plates are plywood and have severe dry rot and
were not secure in their mounting boxes.

2. The wing spar boxes show some damage from the wings being moved
vertically while the spar is still in the box after the pins are drawn back.

3. One of the landing gear bow bracket bolts was not properly aligned and
was loose.

These repairs are not too complicated but the seat belt issue is a major life
safety concern.

My ship has about 3000 hours on it so we are doing a very comprehensive annual
inspection in preparation for the major inspection due at 3000 hours.

Hi All,

A group of us in the UK are thinking of forming a Dimona syndicate and when I
saw your lists I thought I would take a chance and see if you can give any
advice on what to look for, problems etc.

Also can anyone tell me what the differences are between the
Dimona Mkl and Mkll's please.

Best regards to all

Dave
