the sprung tail could be added to most i guess but may not be available from
factory these days.would be expensive at the aircraft welder.  The spring
would be a wonderful mod and could be done BUT you would loose canopy
jettison and think this would not be acceptable I suspect.  Perhaps somebody
could come up with a spring and a tost type (or something) weak link in the
system.  It is only when you have a parachute.  Perhaps Nigel or John V can
think up something.  If weak link were to break then it would be back to
normal h36 I canopy
