Hi Ian (Williams),
I hope you are well. I'm sure people would find your performance comparisons of
the 109 before after the engine upgrade interesting. Would you mind posting
same?

Hi Ian,

Real interesting stuff.  I like your little flap under the Falk cowl .... we
have done a similar thing with the Grob cowl.

My wife and I will be coming over on Friday evening 26th to Coolengatta and
flying out on Sunday afternoon to Tokyo.     I am really looking forward to
meeting you and if at all possible to have a little fly of a Dimona .... will
spur me on to get the one finished here.

Is there any reasonable place to stay that isn’t too expensive at Byron Bay
that you would recommend .  Not too flash ... gotta watch what we spend.

I will take another lot of pics of the l2400 installation in the Grob .... has
made it a different aeroplane even using the 160T prop.

Best regards

Ian W.

Go to link below and go to second page and look for images with numbers 1228 to
1240
http://www.byrongliding.com/gallery/technical/index.htm
The last few photos are the rubbers which have 8mm thread each end and dia 40mm
and height 30mm - They will be from the local german auto accessories shop.

The images on first page are basically for Jabiru installation in Falke putting
a X as the air from air filter goes into tube. For the last year LH rear we
have been struggling why in hell the cylinder was 25 deg hotter than at all
other cylinders AT FULL POWER.  Back the power back to 75% power and all temps
were even.  It turned out to be the swirl or spin of the air as it goes down
the inlet and at full power carby let the spinning air go straight through.
Back back throttle and the tube is blocked and spinning air is stopped

Today Russell White tells me it is know about spinning air in motorbike
industry. I wish I new that 12 months ago!!!! and is used in the carby heat
pipe in the  0 540 of Pawnee.  I am slow learner

I think Dafydd Llwellyn will have the Jabiru Falke installation paperwork done
in next 24 hours so watch out John Viney you may have a job next week FINALLY!!!

Cheers,

Russell.
