Ian, those bladders look very similar but not exactly the same as some I
imported from China last year. They worked out about $125 but the postage was a
major part of that.

The Chinese manufacturer was supplying NATO forces and they met all safety
requirements including drop tests, pressure and heat with flame, also anti
static.
They work very well and fold or roll up.

The problem is that legally they can't be filled at a service station because
they have not been tested to Australian standard AS2906 and therefore don't
have that stamped on them. Have never been challanged filling yet and there is
less likelyhood of static compared to a metal jerrycan. They are suitable for
avgas, mogas including ethanol, diesel but not recomended for jet A1. Could
have sold 15 or 20 last time I was at Birdsville.

Places like Leigh Creek and Nhill are not replacing their avgas tanks when the
fail. What happened at Waikerie ?

John Callahan.

Looks like rob, nigel and John V are interested - will see if I can get a
better price for buy 5 as we may get 2 here - says $110 but he quoted me
$110+GST for 20 lit bladder

I can say a few aviation fuel places are closing down and some places want to
sell you 200lit and fuel call outs are either $10 or $20 so it means you could
top up with Auto fuel now and then. I gather NSW are discontinuing 91 and
single service stations will replace with 95 while places with 2 tanks have to
stock 95E10 and 95 (mid premium ULP)

It sure beats a farmers drums I can assure you. In the good old days when i
would go touring in the PIK E with a few 5 lit wine bladder with 125ml of TTS
oil and fill them up. I would only use them once (or twice) but do not like my
chances of doing that these days at a service station.

Jabiru have on web site a good article on fuels for aviation use and do say
95E10 is OK for there aircraft subject to certain conditions. Personally I
would not want it staying in my tank but would seem if you run it thru engine
quickly it would be OK

I'm assuming they will fold up and fit in the back in a small space...If so

I have located 20lit fuel bladders as used in surf rescue rubber duckies
for $121. Just wondering if others are interested and if so may see if I can
get a discount.
