G'day Gav. Your mail got canned for coming from an unregistered address but fortunately I looked at it before deleting it as usual so it has gone to the list. Timely reminder guys. Check the address you are sending from when sending to the list. It will only send out mail to registered members. This cuts down on spam and leaves me as the final filter for the list.
I think John had his GFA address registered so he may now not be getting list mail. Pete can you please check that as I can't get the system to give me the info. If so I will set up his home address. Cheers. Nige. P.S. Who has done some XC this season. In January I did 100K with a mate engine off. Elapsed time 1hour 48minutes which included 4 minutes of engine. I can't take any honors' away from this though as I just did the take off and engine cool down. Don't you hate it when someone who has over 3000hours and stopped gliding over 10 years ago then comes back and has a check flight then shows you how it is done 6 months later like he never stopped flying. And this in an aircraft he has only flown in once before and isn't a MG pilot. Bastard. Whatever...I thank you for your effort over the last several years. I have the feeling that Mike Valentine would have said 'I told you so'. I wish that were not so. Maybe you can get to NZ sometime, now. I have not heard from Roger Harris. You probably know that he is battling cancer issues. He will also be battling earthquake issues now. I gather that all the Canterbury G.C. members are alive after the quake, but I know that several have lost homes and businesses. I will be here until easter, and I presume here again from November next year. So you will have a place to stay over here if you want one. All the best in the meanwhile. Gavin Wrigley. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
