The main values of synthetics are their ability to handle higher temperatures for longer periods without breaking down, and they keep combustion by products in suspension better for longer periods, but given that we control oil temp closely and change engine oil much more frequently than in automotive applications these attributes of synthetics are of little value to our engines. You will also save a lot of money!!! kind regards JGV ----- Original Message ----- >From: Laurie Hoffman >To: [email protected] >Sent: Thursday, August 16, 2012 1:22 PM >Subject: [DOG mailing list] Engine Oil > > >Hi All, >I've been looking around for a Winter grade of engine oil for the Dimona. > >We have been using a Penrite semi synthetic.
