Hi Rob,

Got the picture ... thanks A spacer I think will do the job nicely

Re the harness... I think you had better put my name on them please. I guess
that I do have your undercarrage (Your serial no) so that harness set would
feel in good company.

Actually I would really like to know why I have ended up with your U/C I
have striped all the paint off and repainted it .... . and it does look OK.

Best regards

Ian W.

Subject: [DOG mailing list] v brace wires touching exhaust

Hi Ian,
If you use a longer bolt on the front attachment point and use a suitable
spacer to lower the wire you can make it clear the exhaust. It doesn't take
much.

Hi Nigel and all,

The day is getting real close when the noise button is pressed with Dimona S/no
3537 cunningly disguised as ZK-GCB. However I have been looking at the 2 *
cables that transfer the thrust from the engine into the Fuse .... Seems a
bit dodgy. So I thought a question to those who have got to know one of these
little rockets in depth. (even though a few years ago now)

If you are looking at the engine from the front, the left hand cable runs from
the bracket under the engine to a separate bracket BELOW the rubber engine
mount bolt. That seems OK, but the right hand side attaches to a bracket
actually under the bolt head of that side mounting rubber. All that seems OK,
but the RHS cable actually is touching the exhaust pipe from the front
cylinder. This Dimona has a short length of heat tube on the cable to insulate
it from the exhaust heat ... and has a little burn mark on it. I recon that
seems a bit too dodgy.... what do you think ??

Best regards

Ian Williams
