Dear All, The H36 designer Wolf Hoffman offered awhile back to search for the polar among his old boxes of stuff, but meanwhile fyi below two images of the polar curve from later iterations of the model:
>From the 1990 Hoffman flight manual for the HK36 Super Dimona [image: Inline image 1] And what looks to be the same curve (also calibrated in fpm and knots) from the 2002 Diamond HK36 TC flight manual: [image: Inline image 2] These imply rather a better performance (232 fpm) than the min sink speed (300 fpm) given in the H36 flight manual...? How about flying some test points? Helmut Reichmann recommends best glide, VNE, and a speed approx halfway between, as a starting set for calculating the polar.
