In past thanks to Dave Sharples I have used "Wearcheck" which I believe was
a division of Castrol.

As I approach 300hrs to run I recently bought 4 sample kits at about $170
from this time "ASL Oilcheck" in Wetherill Park NSW and Malaga WA

In past I have done same near the end of life of engine but usually a crack
in crankcase is the determining factor of how long I keep the engine going.
I have beaten that issue once and for all.

I always say the sample is from my VW dune buggy rego YHB-397 (VH- YHB sr
no of frame 44497). DO NOT SAY AIRCRAFT I suggest.

PS I never ever before have experienced an engine that just maybe between
oil changes uses 50-100ml of oil (Castrol Magnetec 10W40) and crankcase is
dry!!!!
