Notice nothing said on AUSsoaring but John Viney passed away yesterday. I gather earlier in week he had a knee operation & assume something did not go to plan & was moved to another hospital. He was only 66 or 67 years old. These operations seem common place these days & thus you do not expect to loose somebody.
I found him very helpful in his years in Airworthiness GFA. A sad loss & especially the circumstances Also John Ashford passed away earlier in year, John often being a standin in Airworthiness with GFA. There was a lot of knowledge now lost permantly with the passing of those two. Ian Mc Phee
