14 months ago we had or op serviced by AAP & glider went to gulf and Brian
Marshall had on going issues with it throwing out of cruise. The prop was
removed & sent to Sydney and was there for almost 3 months awaiting a
exchange boss from Germany.

This seemed to fix it although it occasionally threw out. I took glider
to gulf in early September with zero prop issues (I did have weak mag but
that's another story). Brian went to gulf in late September and zero
issues going there. but all the trouble in the world on return trip.

In the last 24 hrs it reached the top of my to fix jobs. Talked to Nigel
re counter weights but seemed very similar to another prop which we got
back from Germany recently.

On close looking the slide did have a groove and just maybe it was less
than another old slide. This made me think the slide was not going out far
enough

Any how removed slide re faced it removing all groves then polished with
ever finer emery paper. I decided to reverse the slide also. You can
actually remove slide from it's fitting (2 bolts) without changing anything
on the front of prop.

Anyhow it seems now perfect.

It seems like slide needs to be perfect for smoothness. No lips or groves &
polished perfectly.
