Hi Jarek
Can you expand more on what you mean by lubricating the inside of the magneto?
If it is the impulse coupling you mean by inside then that is what is
underneath that little spring loaded cap. I myself give a small squirt from an
aerosol of a non lithium based sticky chain lube type of stuff in that
particular location but i’m sure others here have their own preference. I do
this about every 5 to 10 hrs and this is probably over serviced. I guess it
would also depend on how many starts are done in that time as well (as opposed
to starting once and flying for ten hours with restarting). I could have thirty
starts in that time.

Hello,

I know that a few drops of lubricant should be added now and then through a
small opening covered with a hinged cup (as depicted on the attached photo).
Can someone advice on the following:

1. What kind of fluid can be used? How often?
2. What kind of grease needs to be used for the inside of the magneto. Can the
lubrication of the inside of the magneto be perfomed by a mechanic or should it
be done only by an authorised repair shop? How often?

Best regards
Jarek
